Yeladim Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit, organization recognized by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in October 2017.
The organization was created by a group of community development volunteers experienced in working with families in economically-challenged communities.
It is governed by a 9-man Board of Trustees from different fields of profession. Currently it is managed and operated by volunteers and supported by donors and partner organizations.
OUR STORY
Yeladim Inc. was conceptualized when Dorothy Sabarez, a seasoned elementary school teacher, met social worker Maria Zerilda Cunanan at a volunteer event in Daan Tubo, Barangay UP Campus, Diliman Quezon City.
Dorothy, who has a heart for teaching and Zerilda, who has a heart for children, decided to put up an organization that focuses on teaching God's word to children who live in economically challenged communities. They believe that through this, the children may experience changed lives and help change their communities for the better as well.
Yeladim Inc. was formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in October 2017 as a non-profit organization.

WHAT WE DO
Our programs and services help children achieve their aspirations to become more productive, responsible and accountable individuals in their communities and the nation as a whole.
Our priority program is Yeladim Vacation Bible School (YVBS). It is a summer class program for children ages 5 to 9 years old in economically challenged communities who are usually idle or spend most of their time playing in the streets during school break.
Yeladim also provides financial and material support for the school needs of children chosen as scholars.
To date, we have conducted 25 YVBS catering to 350 students and undertaken 10 teachers' training in support of this YVBS. We continue to change the lives of children through the help of its volunteers, partners and sponsors.
OUR SOCIAL RELEVANCE
Working in economically challenged areas, in partnership with local churches, Yeladim introduces foundational values of integrity, love for God, country, and fellow citizens.
Appreciation of and responsibility for the environment, awareness of one's capacity to contribute to the betterment of self, community and nation are also inculcated.
These disadvantaged children are taught values of self respect and respect for others; that they are not helpless because of their poverty; that they can become productive and useful members of society.
These concepts when introduced at a young age can influence their thought processes and self awareness that will hopefully guide them towards self reliance and concern for others.
